Skill Level: Easy
24 x 24” square
ch = chain
st(s) = stitche(s)
dc = double crochet
FPdc = front post double crochet
BPdc = back post double crochet
YO = yarn over
9 rows and 15 sts = 4” square
You will use less than a full skein of Dark Orchid and 1.5 skeins of Medium Purple, each skein is approximately 364 yards.
Attaching New Colors: Continue to the last stitch in the row before you are changing colors. Work the final stitch until you have 2 loops on your hook; instead of yarning over with your current color, drop that yarn and cut it leaving a 5-inch tail. Yarn over with your new color (leaving a 5-inch tail) and pull that yarn through the 2 loops on your hook. Continue the pattern with your new color. Tie the tails of both colors together to secure.
FPdc: YO; insert hook from front to back to front around dc post (vertical bar) of st and draw up a loop; (YO and draw through 2 loops) twice.
BPdc: YO; insert hook from back to front to back around dc post (vertical bar) of st and draw up a loop; (YO and draw through 2 loops) twice.
